Gorgeous images and have immediately added this museum to my Paris list (really need to prioritize Paris soon 😅). And YES to the suggestion about a series of posts for the unicorn tapestries in all 3 places!!! I’ve seen the ones at the Cloisters and at Stirling Castle and have long been obsessed with the storytelling and craftsmanship in these works. Would very much enjoy hearing your impressions about them 🙌
I first visited Paris with my parents when I was eight, and the tapestries of the Dame à la Licorne are what I really remember of the trip. We got a jigsaw puzzle of the sixth tapestry, too, so for years afterwards I had the pleasure of studying all the little details of the flowers and the birds every time we put the puzzle together. I have seen many tapestries since, but these remain my perfect ideal.
I remember being taken to the old museum as a teenager, and loving the unicorn tapestries. Never been back since, but maybe?

Ok. It'll be a few weeks before I get to the unicorn tapestries, but I'll do a post on them all.
Your photographs and descriptions are incredible! Yes, please post your tapestry series - unicorns or not, tapestries weave such wonderful stories.
Ok. The tapestries post will come in a couple weeks, if everything goes according to plan...
